Attention Deficit Disorder: Life at a Different Pace is the story of one man's search for meaning after being diagnosed with a neurological disorder at the age of twenty-nine.  Commonly known as a children's disorder, ADD is seen in a new light as Steve McAllister (author of The Rucksack Letters) interviews a bevy of mental health care professionals in an exhaustive exploration of one of the most prevalent mental disorders of our time.  Using the diagnosis as a springboard to understanding, Steve seeks out the strengths of ADD to forge a path of hope for a generation of children and adults who have been affected by this disorder.

Steve McAllister

Diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder at the age of 29 after several years of juggling jobs and moving from place to place, Steve decided to use his earned degrees in Psychology and Film Production to produce this documentary. In the six years between shooting and editing, he used his apparent strengths to hitchhike across the country and write his book The Rucksack Letters. His next book, Artists Must Play CARDS, co-authored by Gales Fulton Ross will be released Spring, 2008.
